Did I get the right VIN for the 4.4?

yes it is correct, however the dealer doesn't supply X5 in Egypt. All the cars in the market are imported individually from Europe
this why it is cold weather car

You know what I found strange about those VIN's though... Both X's are noted as N62 motors and looking at the pictures, both look like the face listed version 04-06, but the first 3 in the VIN... those look like the first production Models.. 00-03... I thought BMW Switched the VIN designation from WBA to 5UX when the face listed versions came out. But Term... I'm not seeing what is special about BMW Individual? Am I missing something?

Eye... these are your cars, you can do what you want with them but if the information can be confirmed... You may be in a better position to sell the 4.8is and keep it intact for higher than current value if we can confirm what is special about "BMW Individual" If you don't ship it back to the US, I am certain you can ship it somewhere else in the EU. Russia is popular.

After googling, BMW Individual basically mean a BMW authorized Pimp my ride. I am assuming this is a Level 2 job because of the paint color and Anthracite headliner. Level 1 allows the user to put leather pretty much everywhere, even on the trim. Since this is noted at having "Fine wood trim" the only custom changes were the Paint code and headliner.

Where did you get this X? Didn't you say you imported it from the US? BMW Individual wasn't and isn't an option here, unless someone bought it in the EU, and then just picked it up at the Spartanburg plant.

that particular VIN is for the gulf countries, so, i would say some rich oil sheikh (or his nephew!) bought it, just because he could afford it... the Individual can consist of person's monogram, his personal choice of colors and whole plethora of things... this particular series seems to be a limited edition "mass-produced" persian gulf cars...

here is a link to a 7-series Individual

Good morning Gents,
I tried to swap the rims, everything went fine
But I have noticed that the rear rims are not same look as it was on the 4.8is
The space between the rim and car body side is very narrow
Shall I use spacers or shall I swap the suspension arrangements
Thanks

the 4.8is (E53hp) is sitting lower on the air suspension as it rides on the 20" rims... a 4.4i (E53a - "a" for automatic) is sitting a bit higher on 19" rims, even if it has a sports suspension. It might be on air suspension or coils, but, unless it had factory option of 20" rims, it sits higher...

these values are in mm, measured from the bottom of the rim to the top of the fender - this statement is from memory, so check on the measuring info...

I went to replace instrument cluster
Everything thing worked perfectly but I have ABS and DSC fault
All readings and indications are ok even RPM lights
Any ideas why I'm getting this fault?
Resetting fault didn't help
Instruments cluster still holding old Vin numbers

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
You swapped the 4.8 to the 4.4 cluster? It probably needs to be coded otherwise you'll throw tamper dot.

As far as the width of the wheels, did you swap the fender flares on to the 4.4 as well? that would be the difference in width, as well as the stance on the 4.4 is higher than the 4.8
