I was in San Antonio last summer for 5 months and drove to the Hennessey facility, what an awesome place! One of the main reasons I like the SRT8 is because you can get so much (it's mind boggling) aftermarket performance stuff without taking out a second mortgage on your home....lol! There's a reason only one member here on the site has a supercharged E53, the rest of us can't afford it at $10,000!!

The new SRT8s STARTS at around $65k.
Picked up my '03 4.4 4yrs ago (under $13K), adding this supercharger (under $5k, not $10k), along with total engine/trans rebuild (around $6k), will result in a total vehicle cost under $25k. That's hardly 2nd mortgage money for an SUV that will pull like a frieght train. I've already reached out to ex-Hennessey, Roe Racing and Archer Racing employees (supercharger gurus I've gotten to know thru Viper Club members that have supercharged several vehicles). Getting input from these techs on what questions need to be asked/answered by e-bay seller prior to purchase.

I'd rather rebuild the devil I know, in tiag's case his impeccably kept 2003 M62, and supercharge it, then buy a beat up used SRT8 (cuz you know a lot of the kids are racing stoplight to stoplight in those) for much more money (I find used examples in the mid 20s that are older, and newer used ones in high 30s). Just my opinion.
Which is why I wouldn't sell my low mileage 03 5-speed for a 4.8 or 4.6, with all the upkeep on mine I'd rather ESS supercharge it and upgrade anything that needs upgrading to stay daily reliable for me. Looking forward to seeing what you do Tiag.

and Jeep has really improved the interior and is doing a much better job with fit and finish. I was never a Mopar guy, but it's a hemi has a very nice ring to it. For less than a stock new X5 you can have a mild mannered street SRT8 that runs in the 10s. Unless I can find a way to get an X5M north of 700HP and fairly similar torque, I will be taking a serious look at an Hennessey SRT8 next time around. The Ebay supercharger is priced right if it delivers but from my communications with them I am already getting more out of what I already have.

This e-bay blower is positive displacement and will produce full boost across the entire RPM range, resulting in a much flatter hp/tq curve (less peak hp/tq, but higher hp/tq at lower rpms). If you were to "pully down" a centrifugal blower to match the boost of a roots style blower at 1000rpm, it would be generating over 70psi of boost at redline.

Hi! There were couple of discussions in german BMW forums about this M112 kit, which is offered with used M112 superchargers - the kit isn't a plug&play product, it needs a lot a custom work to get work properly - the intake adapter has a lot of leaks, due to the inaccurate manufacturing.
So for me k5$ for a used supercharger kit, which doesnt work properly is a bit too much. |

What I meant about- if it delivers- I would want a US reference to call to see if the install went smoothly and the hp and torque numbers results. Not sure what you mean as I don't have Dinan supercharger. With the Dinan engine mods and software I have it produced 369hp and 382 ft/lb. I added a 150 shot of nitrous and methanol injection. Dinan mods, nitrous and methanol injection produce more HP and Torque than the Ebay supercharger with the Dinan mods and methanol injection. The best next step for me is a beefed up automatic that will put more of what I have to the ground and give me some comfort the transmission is not going to puke every time I use the nitrous.
