I've considered things like that, but if I'm pushing over 600hp on my truck and haven't gotten into meth, I don't see the need to do it in this application. I'm not going to push the X5 any harder than Dinan or VF kits, but I will upgrade the injectors that I got from a VF kit since my buddy is pushing beyond the VF injectors abilities on his E34 540i.

What are you starting with that gets you over 600HP with supercharger?

J.Belknap is on target. The primary reason for meth injection is to guard against the potential disaster from a lean condition that you are concerned about.

I did dino runs with and without meth. The best results for HP and torque, with existing injectors, for a consistent fuel/air mixture, without a lean or rich condition across rpm range, was with the meth injection. It certainly confirmed that there was no need for larger injectors.

You'll definitely want the M5 fuel pump

Edit: and you mayyyy want a 4.6is fuel pressure regulator.

Edit2: Don't tune to the ragged edge and use meth as a safety net.

RealOEM.com * Part Cross-reference - X5 pump, which is used on 3.0-4.6 engines. From a post TiAgX5 made, ours runs around 56 psi at WOT - http://www.xoutpost.com/922213-post7.html
RealOEM.com * BMW E39 M5 Fuel pump and fuel level sensor - M5 pump, which is only used in the E39 M5. Google searches told me they're about 5bar/72.5 psi at WOT.

If the VF and Dinan kits aren't upgrading the FP, I don't see why I'd need to either as I'm not pushing the kit for use in the X5. I do think it's ignorant that this guy selling the kit doesn't wanna increase to larger injectors, so I'm installing a wideband for my own piece of mind and then fully planning on installing the VF injectors regardless once I can find someone to tune it for me. Once I install/transfer this kit into my 740iL6 that can handle far more boost, then I'll start looking into things like Walbro(s), FPR's, bigger/deleted MAF, etc.

Yes, they are.

E39 M5 pumps. Delphi injectors. Their kit for the 4.4i also upgrades the FPR.

I've got a 2002 Harley F150 that was pushing about 450hp before I broke a rod in the stock engine on a similar Eaton M112. 450hp is about the limit on the stock rods, and I found that limit oddly enough doing about 35mph in traffic when it finally snapped. Since then I've gone fully built engine, upgraded to a KB2.3 and pullied to get around 18-20psi with room to go. My full intention with my truck is that I can have a daily driver that I don't require extra maintenance, filling meth bottles, racing gas, etc. and I've got just that.

I've looked into meth, killer chillers, etc that I'm sure can be intergrated into the VF, Dinan or this Eaton kit, but I don't plan on pushing my stock X5 engine anymore than the VF/Dinan kit, so short of being proactive and adding 30# injectors, I've got no desire to add additional maintenance needs to any of my vehicles in terms of filling bottles, huge changes in service intervals, etc. Once I install the SC into my 740iL6, then I'll get into higher boost, look into things like a larger MAF and fuel pumps, etc but even then I know I won't be pushing that to 600hp like in my truck, so if my truck doesn't need it, I can't see why my car would.

I misunderstood. I thought the 600HP truck you were referencing was going to be the X5 with the supercharger.

The Dinan Kit is no longer available. FYI-To get to 421hp for 4.4 it included a larger MAF and throttle body, better intake manifold and their exhaust.

Mind you these instructions contain old pics (you can see newer tubing and other design changes on current eBay adds) and is a VERY poor German to English translation, here are the installation instructions - http://static.daom.nl/e38_eaton112compressor.pdf I'v asked him for the German version to which I'll post also, then I'll have a friend translate it for me in person and see if we can post something more easily understood. Once my friend and I do the install, I fully intend to document EVERYTHING and see about even re-writing the instructions for this guy.

Same MAF, just a larger tube, throttle body I'll look into getting ported when I port the the entire SC and the manifolds it comes with, Dinan's intake manifold is nothing more than a factory BMW pre-VANOS manifold and I've considered some exhaust work down the road. I've already deleted the resonator and out in an x-pipe, and I may delete a set of cats.

Yes, larger tube. Since I didn't know how familiar you are with the Dinan supercharger package I thought I should mention they apparently needed to make accommodation for more air in to get to 421HP with the supercharger in case you were unaware.

Sounds like a good plan!
