Hi! There were couple of discussions in german BMW forums about this M112 kit, which is offered with used M112 superchargers - the kit isn't a plug&play product, it needs a lot a custom work to get work properly - the intake adapter has a lot of leaks, due to the inaccurate manufacturing.

So for me k5$ for a used supercharger kit, which doesnt work properly is a bit too much.

There's always a catch. Hope all is well Nick!

I've emailed them in regards to the latest eBay ad I saw showing two wildly different intake manifolds that feed the supercharger itself. I'm also curious about how compatible this is with use on either my non VANOS 98 740iL6 or my VANOS 01 X5 4.4i.

One of my other vehicles, an 02 Harley F150 (4 door Lightning) uses a similar style supercharger, but it's intercooled, so I'm curious how well this kit works out. I hope someone buys it and reports back before I do.

I found a thread on a 7-er forum, and while Google Translate isn't perfect, it works. All the threads were from late'12 and when I asked the guy about the eBay listings now vs back then (there are differences) he confirmed the kit has changed a lot and worked out many bugs. I'm still hoping to find someone who's actually bought the kit and talk to them directly vs seeing pics of other people's installations that the seller himself took. I've got high hopes for the kit since I know firsthand what SC is capable of. Thanks for the links, I'll start reading on there as well.

This thread has my full attention so any answers you guys can come up with, please post. This summer while I'm not driving my X5, I'll be working on figuring out new ways to add hp to it and this would be a huge jump forward. Keep this thread going and add pics if you can.

thanks

I may or may not have negotiated a huge discount in the form of sponsorship in exchange for advertising at Bimmerfest in Pasadena. I'll have it in about a month, then between when it arrives, May 14th for the drive down from Seattle to Hollywood, the drive home and all points in between, I'll have plenty of break it time, find issues if any, etc.
