No its not textured rather its a grainy effect of the photo when I had to resized it. The finish is quite smooth.

Junger, I'd probably wait too.
Having said that, I was walking back to my semi-washed x5 in the snow last night and the look of the skid plate made me smile as it looked so shiny

I now have my original back from Rick too
its the Titanium Color, so I may put that one on in winters and my beige to match my beige paint in summers only.
