I painted mine beige to match the body and I'm sooo happy I did. looks great. But TMV's titanium Silver one is a great option for my X5 too as I have the titanium package

D Unit: 00-06 BMW X5 front skid plate just as an FYI

OR you could contact the maker of the aftermarket ones as he is in your state so shipping should be much cheaper. I believe his contact info is in the first post of thsi thread.

super happy with it had quite a bit of release agent on it so it was a pain to prep and paint but in the end it is a great piece

glad to hear. I have no idea what the release agent is, Im assuming a slippery spray or something that makes the primer hard to stick to? I have looked at my black unpainted one and its not slippery to the touch, but I assume its soaked into the material somehow adn you have to leach it out?
