Hey Guys,
I want to fit and prep my skid plate this week.
What works best to smooth out the edges?

This material is very foreign to me. It's not metal or fiberglass.
No idea how to smooth out the imperfections.

DTMDan also just sold his X and is selling a genuine skid plate

Got my Silver X5 back from the paint shop.
Front and rear bumpers repainted, hood repainted, front and
Rear skid plate painted, 4 corners mud flaps installed.
New kidneys, fresh air vents installed.

Dayyyyyyymmmmmm the 'Ol girl looks sharp.

Silver paint and black trims look nice.
Will try and get a few pictures when it's sunny.

AV8R4AA did your paint shop complain to you about the amount of release agent on the deco skid plate? Did you go with Titanium silver paint?

They didn't say anything about the skid plate.
The only snafu was the fitting if the mud flaps.
Guess they were old and had deformed some.

so, just curious about updates on the skid plates guys... any paint issues or mold (deformation) issues?
I still have his first replica in my garage unpainted sitting next to TMV's painted model.
