Hey guys! I finally had my skid plate painted and installed and had a moment to take a quick pic. I love it. There was a lot of cleanup and stuff involved in the paint process. They had to pre-bake it 3 times to suck out all the oils which left alot of little air holes on the surface. Painted in Titan Silver with a flat clear coat They also installed it with 3 stainless steel star pattern bolts that are used on Mercedes G Suvs.
 Also, if you look closely you can see my white german shepherd in the backseat. (dont worry the seat is covered... but white hair/black leather interior...   )

Yes the shop did a ton of prep on mine, they had to spray the clear down extra heavy because of the air holes as well, mine came out great with a regular clear coat.

Very nice!
Any chance you got a picture or two more from different angles? And perhaps even a close-up of the bolts? The reason i ask is that my X is practically identical to yours. Sterling Grey right? And i am currently debating with my self whether to paint my skid plate same color as the car, or go for Titan Silver like you did. I'm worried if the contrast between those two are noticeable enough to make the skid plate 'stand out' from the body color.

Well the Titan Silver matches the grill mesh, personally I did body color match and happy with my choice.
Either way you'd be happy, personally I'm a body color match proponent, even on black (flat bumper contrasts with gloss black plate nicely)
