I usually sell my mods to the wife like this:

---Its _____ of a new car payment (insert amount here, if a new payment would be 450 bucks then make it 1.5 times, etc)

---Its a small mod and if I'm keeping the X5 for ____ more years its really not much

---I don't want anything for my birthday/christmas/etc I'd rather have something I really want instead of just stuff to open

Oh she never really questions but those are some anecdotes of suggestion.

Basically it always comes down to whether we have house repairs/maintenance/upgrades to save for or not at the moment.

We need a new radio anyways, we can't even see the stations anymore. All we see is orange from the display. Its time for a new radio. While I add the new radio I'm going to make a custom box for the sub and put in a 8' JL AUDIO with an Alpine amp to go with it. I don't plan on getting rid of my X anytime soon, I have a 5 year 100,000 warranty on engine and trans. so I'm sticking to her till the end.

She knows lol as we talked about fixing the radio before. I showed her a few pics of the OP install and she liked so I might get the N6 by the end of the month if everything goes as planned
