are you checking the connector in the boot? They one by the unit does not match, at least with the kit I had ( not Dynavin). I installed a Pioneer. The connector behind the dash is abandon and you have to run wires all the way to the boot.

He said he had a non-nav car.

The e53 Dynavin comes with 2 connectors. One for each potenential plug in the e53. Yours would use the flat pin connector. If you didn't get that, contact your dealer.

On my 2004 4.4 I can reset MPG with the stalk, no problem. Not concerned about stopwatch or time - the time is displayed on the N6.

So the Dynavin N6 will only provide GPS when the vehicle has factory NAV?

I have a non-NAV with DSP. I was looking at the N6 so I could ditch the Garmin GPS on the suction mount.

Those are mating plugs, just plug it in. Don't worry about what they look like, they will plug in.

What? Where did you get that idea....

The install is somewhat different as nav cars are wired different but the end result is the same.

having oem nav or not, has no relevance on the dynavin's nav. OEM nav cars are wired differently with different plugs in different spots, and the dash bracket is setup up differently so the install is different, but that is all, functionality is the same.
