I just placed my order for an N6.
I recall people saying not to use the reverse camera offered with it and order elsewhere. Can I score a link from someone for an easy to install camera (that doesn't mount on the license plate)?

When I do my rear camera install I'm going to use a license plate light and run the wire straight up and into the tailgate cover plate. This will bring the wires in more closely to the trunk and rear floor where all the other connections need to be made.

Personally, I would not be looking forward to running those wires through the lift gate and then through the rubber covered wire looms and then down into the rear floor pan.

I think I can make a license plate camera install clean enough for my liking to avoid all that extra hassle of coming in from the lift gate.

To each their own.

This is the camera in my plan:

That camera looks really nice and I like that in can be adjusted in-place. Do you know if it also shows the parking guidelines (red, green and yellow overlay lines) or does it show only the raw video? The camera description doesn't indicate so but probably just omitted?

This one looks the same and makes a reference to grid distance guidelines

Thanks for those guys but i'm not interested in a license plate mounted camera only something I can mount in the top hatch.

And so it arrived ... Had to leave work early to receive it smoothly. The UPS delivery man was amused that I was standing right outside pacing back and forth impatiently waiting.... I have the Eonon in my E39 1997 (works great) but I'm really looking forward to the Dynavin N6 on my E53 The OEM NAV is working perfectly so it will be up for sale once I'm done with the installation of Dynavin. I'm absolutely excited!

Nice. Huge upgrade over stock nav.

Update us with how much you get for your nav setup. I have one (with Sirius receiver, CD changer, etc) after going Avin Avant 2 sitting around as well.
