Glad you got it back together. I was going to post something about the spark plug tubes, but that didn't seem to go with what you were asking. I didn't even think about the guides! I took those off right away after reading so many people having trouble because of them.

I didn't read enough apparently. But now we know!!
Got an CEL again. bank 1 too retarded. bank 2 too advanced. If i dont allow stepper motors to initialize, everything is great. once the stepper motors run through the range it barely idles. I did change eccentri sensor |

I'm downloading INPA and going to have the VVT motors recalibrate.

To answer the original question, the pressure should be great enough to keep the valve from falling into the cylinder when you remove the keepers.

I'm starting to like the rope idea.
