Besides the foxwell is much easier to throw in a door card or glove box when travelling. Both tools have their place, but I think the Foxwell comes in handy more often than the full suite of BMW tools on a laptop.

Totally understand that notion. I have an old Carly for the in car stuff. In my e90, I had the MHD too. Now I just rely on the carly for my e90 for the "oh, a code popped up" or "hmmm, I'm towing 7k lbs, lets check the trans temp" and have the laptop for actually working on the vehicle.
