I emailed my sales person at my local BMW dealership and told him that I want my new X5 to be in his first allocation of cars. He said that he would have to do some 'homework' and would get back to me.
I added that I want to accept delivery at Spartanburg and asked if there was an additional charge for that.
He replied the next day and told me that I would be able to get my car one week later if I pick it up at the factory and that I would be able to take delivery at the beginning of October. No extra charge for Spartanburg delivery. I am going to call him tomorrow to formally set up my order. No option lists yet. Just want to get my name first on the list!
Anyone else out there who has ordered an E70?
My wife took over my X5 and she needs the third row of seating for car pooling. Thats all I need to know to give me the green light to order the car I have been waiting for for a long time.-How could I be more excited about the new X5 than when I ordered my 911 in January??
So, I should have one of the first X5s off the line.
