Bargaining in Progress

Hi buds!

I am trying to bargain the E70 4.8 fully loaded...!

However, currently there are only 3 BMW dealerships in Vancouver.

They all refuse to bargain as they all did some agreement illegally themselves...

They say they can only get $500 off and there is no way.

Should I wait till June or July? or any other way to bargain and get it?

advices for any bargaining strategy?? thanks!

there are 12 4.8 E70s in entire vancouver though.. ((((

it's almost impossible to get a good deal in vancouver if u don't have connections(talking about new model). You can wait for 08 and pick up a 07, but expect 2-3k off at most. I think there is a Full loaded 4.8I in BJ. It's Black can't remember the interior, u can check it out. But quite frankly, the price of a fully loaded 4.8i is right up there with the ML63, i think the ml is a better deal by a long shot

oooo...collusion......isn't that illegal?

you should really wait for a later production considering all the problems have with the new X...comfort seats, leather colors/choices, automatic tailgate, rear sunshades, etc. and being the first batch, there should always be caution when buying those...

Yeah I agree with xnsf.. it is undeniable that the first production of BMW caused some minor problems which led to customers' frustration..

But i really want that damn thing! haha..

well, 5-6 months later, i hope they have some stocks, so E70 is negotiable..

I know a korean dealer and has a good connection, but even refused to negotiate due to it is new and excess demand.

Thx for the info tho!

Wait it out or buy from another dealer in the country and have a fun trip in the new X5, back home.

btw the fully loaded 4.8 I at brian jessel carries a price tag of 99k cdn, i'll rather get a ML63 for that money, i bet someone droped out of the deal because they wasn't expecting the price to be so high haha
The ML only comes in at 100k fully loaded.

yeah ML63 is more attractive given that the price being the same.

But BMW is not just a car right? lol

I am not a huge Benz fan who could afford 100K to an automobile.

only X5 would be worth to 93-95K of my pocket.

It's all about supply/demand/timing/having "cash" ie. your financing in order/knowing what you want in advance/walking in and buying with minimal time taken from the salesman (fleet/internet mgr). As long as there are cars on the lot, you can pretty much assume that demand<supply @ that particular price point. What you need to determine is how fast they are turning over each vehicle and how fast their inventory gets replenished. Think about it--everything has a particular price @ any given moment. You'll be suprised how willing they are to "co-operate" once they know that:
1. You're serious about buying RIGHT NOW.
2. You've financially made ALL the arrangements to complete the purchase YOURSELF.
3. Are buying a IN STOCK vehicle.
4. Can complete the WHOLE sales process in a little more than 1 hours tops.

BEWARE!: In this approach you really need to know what your buying, ie. not need to take a test drive, ask a kagillion questions, and all that other stuff. To a salesman time is $$$$...even with limited inventory.. you should be able to get a better price than what they initially offered you.

Do your homework, this website may help you www.carbuyingtips.com Good luck.

i agree to those tricks, but the most we are still talking about 2k under msrp, we are not going see above invoice any time soon. I just do not think it's possible to get 5-6 k, i think that's wut he is expecting. 5-6k is demo + outgoing model torritories
