Yeah, I double-checked and could not find it in the iDrive. My steering wheel stopped moving up after the update too.

Rather than telling dealers how to fix the problem (upgrade software) just tell them to fix the problem. How they accomplish it doesn't matter. If they can't fix it that's another story.

Picked up the car after the software upgrade with the following to report:

1. Version 25.0 does, in fact, cause a problem with RTTI - iDrive shows RTTI is available but no information is gathered or shown on the NAV display - others have reported that version 25.2 is the most current and fixes this problem, so if you take your car in, make sure they have and will use 25.2 or you will have to take the car back in

2. The upgrade partially fixed the problem with comfort access steering wheel - it now rises when the ignition is turned off - however, the steering wheel does not lower to the user set position once the ignition is turned on - previously, the wheel lowered some of the time, but not it does not lower at all

3. The upgrade screwed up the compass calibration in the mirror - this is easily fixed by recalibrating it as set forth in the manual

4. So far, it appears that the brightness setting of the iDrive screen is retained - that said, the map display is much darker - the predominant color is a darker blue with less contrast in general (especially black street names against the blue background) - the NAV route path is a thicker white line that is easier to see

5. Upgrading requires reprogramming of the following settings: preset audio, lighting preferences, central locking preferences - it did not require a Bluetooth re-pairing with my phone - my phone recognized the car right away

I'll report anything else I learn

This is beginning to sound just like the problems that BMW had with the 2002 model year of the current 7 series. One would think that they would have learned from that launch....

Called the dealership back regarding version 25.2 and was told that 25.2 was not available to them at this time and they didn't know when it would be.

Has anyone received 25.2 and, if so, where was the dealership (US?)?

i've read on other boards that 25.3 is now available, but haven't seen the SIB to see what it fixes.
