So what happens to the Eco-credit and 4500$, if delivery will be after January 2nd for this kind of delay???? I was told that delivery date is what counts, which is stupid because anything can happen as we can now notice.

BMW web site has the ECO credit going through 1/4/2010.
Is that order date or take possession date?
I would give the 800 # a ring and see if they can clear it up for you.

The ECOcredit is BMWs rebate not the governments.

Yes, 1/4/2010. That is delivery/take possession date. Will you lose eco-credit if you can't pick up your vehicle by that date due to some delay?

BMWFS allows up to 60 days after the program ends as long as you "locked your deal".. this is according to my CA.

OK, good news...my CA emailed me late this afternoon. He has a Production Number and the vehicle is slated for Week 1 Production. Glad I won't have to wait too long.

That means that your car goes into production in the first week of 2010. It'll be finished in one week. If you add in delivery and prep time, you will get it probably the end of Jan to the middle of February.

Hmmm, not so good. Didn't realize it took so long from Production to delivery. Might as well wait for an LCI 2011 at that point. Sheesh.

What is the normal schedule from the time an order is placed without a Production Delay?

Great article on 2009 accelerated depreciation of business vehicles by Turbotax. Check it out... TurboTax® - Small Business: Taking Bonus Depreciation -- Turbotax 2009 just got released. I'll be checking it out and will post more updates. The article omits the fact that the bonus depreciation is limited to $25K but it does confirm that it is only available for 2009.

I just called BMW re my 35d, still status 112 with no production week. So annoying.

Here is my timeline
10/10 Paid deposit
10/25 (about) got production number
11/13 went to status 112

According to both CA and BMW there is still no production week (checked today on 12/1).

Anybody think I'm going to see it in 2009? I seriously doubt it.
