Ok so here's where we stand:
They are replacing the urea tank because the sensor is faulty and BMW doesn't make the sensor available separately. Bad design. The parts that were ordered: *2 injectors 13-53-7-808-094 *Intake gaskets 11-61-2-246-945 (6) 11-61-7-790-198 (6) *Urea Tank 16-19-7-222-146 I checked the realoem.com price on the injectors and they are $482 each. The intake gaskets are just that. They are seals for the intake manifold. These are the parts that we are waiting for. The Urea Tank part number is listed as a fuel tank on realoem: part #1 on the diagram (expensive!). So I'm waiting to hear back if the parts arrived today.

So now we know of TWO Urea tanks that have or are to be replaced. BUT... they are not the same tank. One was the smaller active tank and this one in the passive tank. Both are very pricey parts. Good thing they are under warranty.

Okay I had this happen to me today under the exact same circumstances as jaaX3. I was coming down the mountain from skiing. I was at probably 3000 feet and temp was 40 degrees. The highest elevation that I was at was about 7000 feet. I don't know if this has anything to do with it but is seems strange that I would have this during the same circumstances. I have only 1600 miles and have only had the car for 5 weeks. My dealer so far has been great and is getting me in on Monday with a loaner. The gas cap is tight.

Okay my light went off yesteday. I called the dealer and they told me that if it was off not to worry about it and that it was probably a loose gas cap (It was not.) I didnt really want to drive all the way out there so I will wait and see if it happens again. If it does then I will bring it in.

It should have stored a code and the dealer can hook it up to their computer and find out what caused the light to come on. Craig |

And you can get the code read by almost any AutoZone for free ![]() Once you have the code you have more info than your dealer. And information is power when it comes to dealing with the BOZO SAs at some BMW dealerships. Just write the code down and post it here. You are far more likely to get a rational answer than at the dealer that told you "Don't worry. Be happy." ![]() Funf Dresiig |

Mine was the NOX sensor, same as ICX5's. I had less than 900 miles when the light came on.
