Looks like there are many reasons to get creaks. I noticed this too and experimented with a few things. Turns out it was the right passenger door.

To test this, I tried having the passenger door slight ajar during slow weight shifts - no sounds whatsoever.

If I drive out of my parking space as usual in the morning (up a ramp), I'd hear the creak.

Somehow I don't hear it once the car warms up (or I just don't notice it).

It's very annoying.

Mine had a creaky driver's seat from day 1. After a week of ownership, I took it back to the dealer and had them sort it out. I found it unacceptable that a vehicle of this price would have noises like that from the beginning. I'm not sure what work they did, but the noises are gone.

Cheers,

The sport seats have been creaking in my 2011 X5d from new.

Didn't bother me much until now, knowing that it has been an issue for years gives me little faith in BMW.

Haven't seen this complaint in a while - it was an epidemic on the E39's, but haven't seen a thread on it on any of the E60, E53, M3 or E70 boards in ages.

FWIW neither our (previous) 2007 X5, or our current 2008 and 2011 X5's creak. (Maybe it's my less-than-svelte physique holding the seat down - try eating more spaghetti and see if that fixes your problems!)

LOL Ha ha ha.

My 2007 E70 3.0si did NOT creak. My 2008 4.8i E70 creaked A LOT. My 2011 E70 does NOT creak at all. It seems hit and miss. I guess like battery issues!!

FYI if it's an unoccupied seat that is creaking also check your tire pressure---I had mine in for service the other week and apparently the porters or whoever put all four of my tires at 38 psi which is overinflated---I just happen to check yesterday.

I just picked up my 2011 X5 3.5i Premium last week and have the same problem from the driver's seat. It's on my list of small fixes for the dealer.

My passenger door started to creak about a month ago. Only occurs when the window is closed, no creaking when the window is open. Also seems to occur more when the car turns/flexes.

Drives me nuts since I can't figure out where the problem is in the door. Plan on having it looked at during my next oil change.

And here I was sooooo happy that my tailgate doesn't rattle on my 2011.

I had the same problem, all kinds of creaks and noises coming from the front passenger door. It seemed to be eminating from the door trim. Anyway, I took it to the dealer and they fixed it. They said it was the door trim seal. They applied some silicone to it and reseated. No more noise! I wasn't optimistic they were going to correct the problem but was surprised.

700 miles now on my 2011 3.5i premium and the driver's seat has gone from a minor creak to a constant creaking noise while driving and the seat appears to have some back/forth play (compared to the passenger seat which has no noise or movement). I scheduled a service appointment today to look into it. For a $60k plus car, one would think issues like this would not occur. Makes me lose confidence in the manufacturing process/quality control in S. Carolina. I've noticed a few other "attention to detail" issues with the vehicle as well.
