Anyone install Convex Wide Side Mirrors (glass) for Blind Spots?

I'm sure you guys know the driver side rear has a blind spot, its gotten more annoying lately since I've been in a lot of traffic.

Has anyone on here installed Convex or Wide Angle mirror glass? Just wondering if anyone has any experience and if they are worth buying. Appreciate any help. Thanks.

Yes, on both left and right sides, as well as interior, see pics... Can't drive without them!

I think the OP is talking about the factory euro style side mirrors. I have them on my M3 and love them. Takes a while to get used to them, but they are great given the narrow mirrors on most BMWs. However, if you get them with heated and self dimming glass, they are quite expensive. I find that I don't really need the self-dimming since my windows are tinted.

It's a little more info than you need but, I find this video extremely informative and found that I have eliminated my blind spots. I think it's more than just the mirrors, for many ppl its the seat position that's the culprit.

I watched your video and re-adjusted this morning. Historically, i'm one of those that sit further back and like to just barely see my rear door handles on the edges of my side mirrors. Feels I gotta say, it feels a little weird this way. On other vehicles, I've used similar versions of alexmish's spot mirrors.

One side effect from moving my seat forward per the video is that I've been unintentionally flogging it this morning. Not necessarily a bad thing

I can imagine though that the factory style euro mirrors could get pricey.

I love blind spot mirrors, they really do make a massive difference in visibility. HERE is a link to a video we did a while back on them, to give you an idea of how much more of the road you'll see. The European blind spot mirrors are available for the E70 HERE, currently they are only available in Heated and Auto Dimming and on a special order basis.

Wow! I knew the auto dimming mirrors were expensive, but that price suddenly makes the stick on convex mirror look quite attractive!

And consequently these mirrors get stolen often, since it takes no time to remove them.

They are standard on the X5 here, our cars are very close to the EU spec.
