QSilver, those 87s look great on the F15, they are a truly timeless design. Ran my 87s on the E70 for a while and loved the look.

Anyone know if OF ever got those M4 wheels to work?

Any chance those e70 you had with harsher ride were air?

My e70 has coil suspension and oversize tires (255/55/19) 1" taller than normal; wow they are tight near the front suspension parts; can't even fit my finger behind the tire, but I think that helps contribute to the nicer ride.

Wife's e70 has 255/55/18 and air suspension and it's definitely a harsher ride but also not as precise of steering wheel feedback.

Mine is '11 hers is '12.

I suspect they were because I found front turn in to be a bit sluggish and suspension rates unbalanced between front and rear.

Prob exactly the difference I feel between wife and mine. Mine feels more like a car and very much like my E 53

My former E70 was equipped with 3rd row, air springs in the back and Adaptive Drive and it was a very comfortable ride. Not like a full size US made SUV but quite stable without upsetting my fillings :-).

All this discussion about different shock absorbers for air is making my wonder if I have the wrong shocks on my E53.... It rides very, very stiff legged. I thought it was the sport package but now wondering..... The labels on them have become illegible so no way to verify just by looking. May have to dig in to my pile of receipts as they came from the BMW dealer parts window.

Have some mods ready for the F15... just need to find room in the queue to get it in the garage. In the meantime...

Sorry, nothing big. Was just a mileage update. Still haven't gotten the F15 into the garage either for other mods/maintenance. E61 is in for CCV system, broken cylinder head bolts, and some other odds/ends. Been a bear getting the engine degreased due to spewing oil everywhere. Whole house smells like degreaser.

Thanks to picking up some free roofing nails in the Home Depot parking lot this weekend and taking them home in the tires I got to fix the leaks with four new tires Since I have a spare tire now though, I did go with the Yokohama 740 GTX tires and already am enjoying a quieter, smoother and easier rolling ride than what I experienced with the Goodyear run-flats that came on it.

And I at least have the lifetime replacement warranty and 60,000 mile guarantee that $1260 will get you.
