BMW production docs with dealers show E70 production end date of July 2013. My guess is that BMW will give a sneak peek behind the curtains(by invitation only) at Detroit show in January with debut at NY Auto show in April.

I'm happy I ordered an E70 whilst its still offered... I really don't like this design, especially the new 3 series... Very ugly... they are starting to not look like BMWs anymore. Actually most new cars in general do not look like proper cars anymore IMO. I don't like where the motoring industry is heading... Smaller engines and cheap-looking design.
Anyone with me on this one?

I know these are still spy shots, but I am really not encouraged by this design, especially the rear quarter.

It's in the eye of the beholder... I actually like the looks of the rear lights (or the part we can see, at least). I am intrigued by the air breather behind the front wheels. I hope it will not be implemented in an ugly and cheap-looking way like say in the Infinity FX.

So from these latest shots it looks like maybe they've done away with the round exhaust tips as I'm asuming we're seeing a 6 cyl and 8 cyl version here....or maybe M sport and non-M sport as one set of tips is clearly larger than the others...I've never been a fan of the round tips so I'd be happy to see those go away without having to order the M sport package with a diesel or 6 cyl - mostly because i think the current LCI with areo kit is the best looking combo...
