Third Gen. F15 X5: Spy Shots, CGIs and Discussion Thread

Familiar but different. You can't mistake the interior for anything but BMW. So why bother cover the emblem on the steering wheel.

Not too sure about the thin style screen though. Makes it look like it's an afterthought design, instead of it being integrated within the dash. More places where dust will accumulate. The jury's still out on that one for me.

I second that. I hate the display in the 3 series, looks incredibly cheap to me.

Does anyone know when the F15 is scheduled for release?

Just got an email from my dealer for a Customer event this weekend...what I found interesting was the part in the email that said:

"...While you are here you can check out the all-new 3 Series xDrive Sedan, see plans for the all-new X5 arriving early next year and get the latest on the BMW iCar, coming to Canada in 2014."

Thoughts?

Press release with pics in spring or earlier and in showrooms between early summer to fall. E70 production is supposed to end in July 2013(16 month production run). But that can change to earlier if BMW so desires as they did with MY 2013 X5s which were supposed to start prod in August 2012, but started in April 2012.

Nothing firm yet, expected release of F15 X5M is 6 to 12 months after F15 X5 release. Follow the X5 M spy shots thread for more info.
