Pricing on a 2011 X6

Anyone have a sense as to how much over invoice I should be paying for a 2011 X6 5.0 that stickers for $82.2K? Truecar dot com says inovice for a 2010 is 74.8K and that their "true dealer cost" is closer to 73. Any input is greatly appreciated. TY

It all depends. Call around and talk to manager at dealers and make your offer. I would offer $1000 to $1500 over invoice, if i was in market for 2011 in April. Things change after April.

LeMans, what changes after April are you speaking of? Closer to invoice?

Dealers are less inclined to give much discounts when a new model year is released(as in April) and as time goes they offer more discounts. Just my experience.

Oh, I understand. Sorry for the confusion ... it seemed to me like the OP was already talking about the MY2011. I agree with you.

I am just hoping the residuals and money factors stay close to their current rates and I'll leave the rest up to my negotiating skills. Last year when the rates for the MY2010 came out in Sept. of 2009 the money factor dropped a bit (from 0.0020 to 0.0019) compared to a MY2009 in August of 2009 and the residual remained the same. Time will tell ....

$500 to $800 over invoice. You will find one who will deal!
Money factors fluctuate with cash incentives. Probably no cash incentives on 2011 (like Holiday cash on 2010) so the money factors are likely to stay the same on 2011 in April as they are now. Not the money factor for thru March is much lower than money factor in December when they offered $2,500 holiday cash. THe money factor spread from Dec. compared to now is about $2,500 depreciation over the life of the lease...NOT a coincidence. If you buy, go $800 over on a 2011 and place the order. If you lease, do the same
