Another dope who doesn't know if he has Bluetooth or not...help, please. MY2004

Hi, All,

I've got ( I think ) an 08/04 build X5. I have Premium Package, BMW Assist and, from what I can tell, all the Bluetooth hardware. I have the card with the PIN and I have also verified the ULF in the trunk ( also with Bluetooth PIN on it), complete with phone AND Bluetooth antennas going into it.

My phone is a Motorola V710 (US Cellular, not the disabled Verizon one ).

I've seen the bulletin stating the some late '04s may have had the card included, but I appear to have EVERYTHING.

I checked IFlyX5's excellent writeup:

http://www.xoutpost.com/articles.php?...icle&artid=190

Basically everything looks just like his end result...right down to the mounting of the Bluetooth antenna and the location of the ULF.

I have NOT been able to get the phone to pair, despite trying multiple processes.

Is the ULF the same as the TCU? Do I need to replace it with a 2005 version? And why the heck is it there ( complete with antenna ) if it doesn't work in '04s...anyone know?

Thanks,

--Will
