Definitely disconnect the battery, I've seen some stubborn systems before.

Try disconnecting the battery cables and touching the cables together for +5 seconds (off the battery), this will clear the system and allow redetection.

We've ran through 7 pages of troubleshooting for this kit - I think the best thing would be to have your local dealer install the Sirius kit at this time. I've tried every possible solution I can think of, but without actually seeing the X5 beforehand - I'm not sure what more can be said.

Hopefully, this can be installed and you can report back to the thread what the issue was.

AUX uses an entirely different port, and needs the BMW AUX kit in order to enable it.

2 things to not have Sirius show on the display.

1) OLD nav software. Upgrade to latest one
2) OLD software in Radio. Upgrade to latest one (by getting a new radio). If newest one, make sure in US mode. use the radio service mode to check.

NO CDC Audio.... that is a different story. If no audio on the CDC. Remove the 12 pin harness from the Sirius TO CDCD and MOVE the white brown wire from location 2 to location 3! Old CDC has a different audio ground pin location.

If you are near Austin, Tx feel free to swing by and I can take a look. I have gotten Sirius to work in a 1999 E38, I know I can get it to work in the 2003 X5

Martin
