For those of you that have installed the new V27, if you go to the secret menu, select Perspective, does that turn on the Perspective option in the screen you get when you press the right knob? Guess I'm asking if selecting Perspective from the secret menu adds Perspective to the list of map view modes, or just puts you into perspective (& then you have to go back to the secret menu to get out of perspective (3d)? If it does add the new option (adds perspective to already existing North & Travel Direction), do you get all 3 modes in full screen & split screen? Thanks to anyone who took the time to read my whole ramblings here!!

is it possible to change that wonderfull Gifextractor program to change the welcome screen in v27 ?

Actually, what I'm doing is
1 replace GB_F.CSF with USA_F.CSF
2 replace F_F.CSF with USA_M.CSF
3 replace both Lng_English and Lng_Francais with Lng_American
4 change the splash screen logo

No. 1 and 2 are easy since these are seperate files under \V_2\Voices. No. 4 can be done using GifExtractor, but no. 3 is kinda tricky since you've to replace the files within the navboot file itself. Replacing is not that big deal using XVI32 Hex Editor, but the language files contain a header with their own filenames in it, meaning just replacing Lng_Francais with the contents of Lng_American isn't enough.

So, for no. 3 I'm using ambishop's split.exe to get the sole Lng_American file. I create two copies of it named Lng_English and Lng_Francais and then I use XVI32 to change the filename of the corresponding headers. The last step before placing back the new files into the original navboot file is to correct the CRC24 checksum. This can be done using crc24.exe from the HackTheIBus forum.

That's about it...

Oups, doesn't that work any longer with the navboot file of V27? Anybody?

I`ve downloaded the version 27, and I just want to now if the street names are correctly on the screen in "birdview" mode or ..... ?
If not, I`ll not install it in the car before this is OK. This equipment
are actually a navigation system to use in the traffic, so.... we need the street names.

Once you enable perspective in the secret menu...

When you press the know and go to the menu item that normall would just select between two "pointing north and pointing the direction you are driving," now allows a third option "perpsective"

Everything about the update to V27 has gone fine
Voices in English, Ventilator is OK
- except one thing...
The estimated time of arrival on the NAV screen stays set to 0:00.
Is there something that I need to reset to make this work again?

I dont think the estimated time of arrival works in birdview mode.

Is it me? The download link goes to 'Mega Upload'. How do I download V27 from it PLEASE?????
