No, perspective just seems to operate in the Direction of Travel. I'm not concerned about this as I never use the North travel map view.

The method I've always used is thus:
- Set destination, but don't hit guidance
- Press and hold menu button for about 5 seconds, go back to main menu
- Go straight back to navigation and without changing anything, hit guidance

I've been able to do this since I've had the system (about 2 years now)'

Thx a lot guys! I'm currently downloading, I'll tell you tonight if it worked well in my 02 320td Compact (MKIII upgraded to MKIV, currently v26).

See you,

Thomas

Hi,
can anyone confirm that the INFO and SELECT Buttons worked fine? I´ve had this problem until I´ve downgraded to v.25 and then to v.26 (mod.)
After that i must coded the MK4 new....
It´s worked fine, but I must know what now about these two Buttons. (I have radio BM24 and MK4)

best regards
Norbert

I updated mine this morning all works well I did not need to change birds eye view as mine was like this from previous version but to be safe I enabled it just in case and swathed back and forth from point north and birds eye. The only problem I have in the Nav setting car thinks it is a 7er and there are no details of my car i.e. reg number or chassis number. Do I need to get it re coded?

Are you able to activate birdview in pointing north and traveling direction mode, or does switching on perspective mode always take you back to traveling direction?

As for the other problem with X5 no longer being listed correctly (now showing 7 series and no data) I'm pretty sure that problem existed before. V27 is a regular update and it shouldn't switch the country coding. If I recall well, this "recoding needed" issue only started with V26.09A. Have you been using that version (09A)?
