Problems burning 2006.2 DvD

I know there is a thread for the DVD but there isnt any for how to get it working.

I downloaded the 2006.2 maps dvd (US) & by now I have lost count of the amount of DvDs I have wasted trying to get it to work. Heres what I have done:
  1. I burn the "DVD image" using Alcohol 120.
  2. I have used BOTH DVD-R & DVD+R
  3. I have used DVDs from Verbatim, Playo & HP
  4. I have burnt at full speed & at the slowest
YET my MKIV system refuses to read ANYTHING.

Those of you who have it successfully working, PLEASE tell me what brand of DVD should I use, what speed & what software did you use. This is driving me crazy !!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT : Just FYI I have a 2003 330xi with the MKIV & 16:9 screen.
