use winibus to listen to the car's ibus, or use ibus analyser.

if you can listen properly, then the interface is working

Yesterday NavCoder 1.2 was working fine with Ressler's I-Bus i/f, I was able to recode my system to MKIV US with US voice, however I am still not getting the arrival time. Today I tried to bring up NavCoder and I keep getting Run-time erro 380 Invalid property value. Any ideas what could be wrong.

Thanks.

Runtime error = Com port issue probably. I'll email you.

For arrival time: make sure destination is >1km or >1mile away, make sure vehicle is moving, make sure you did NOT check 'show arrival time'

KiwiJochen,
Thanks for the great program! I have an E39 (US spec, build date 11/01) that I upgraded to a MK IV about 2 years ago. I just coded my unit with ver 1.2 and have the same issue. Checking show arrival time was not an option to check with 1.2 as it is disabled for a MK IV unit. Everything else coded correctly first time. I went back the following day and recoded with the same result - loss of ETA. I was moving when I entered destination which was 25 miles away, just comes up as --:--. Any suggestions?

I resolved the issue by deleting all of the registry entries that pointed to NavCoder and rebooting my system. I am assuming some data type got corrupted in the registry.

I also resolved the arrival time issue, by coding using the MKI/MKII/MKII setting then recoding with the MKIV setting.

Everything is now working fine. Thanks for a very useful application and everybody's help on this board to my upgrade successful.

Odd . all the Mk1/2/3 setting does is prevent you from setting Check Arrival Time, it forces the value to 0
I don't understand why it worked for you that way.. but anyway well done

When I used the MKI/II/III mode I checked the box for the arrival time, this set the command byte to x06. I then unchecked it and set the mode to MKIV, the byte was then set to x02. If you leave the box checked and change the mode to MKIV the byte stays as x06. I believe switching the bit back and forth did the trick. It would be interesting to be able to read the config from the ibus to see what the bit is set to.

Ahh - that's a bug. Selecting Mk4 should clear the 'Show arrival time'. I've fixed it. v1.2.1 now forces show arrival time to be off, and focres Female for all voices. It will be uploaded very shortly.

KiwiJochen,
I still haven't been able to get the ETA working again on my Mk IV. Everything else coded properly and is working as expected. Has ver 1.2.1 been posted anywhere? I would like to give that a try. Thanks

v1.2.1 is here:
http://www.bimmerboard.com/members/k...l/NavCoder.zip

For the MkIV "Show arrival time" must be unchecked, which is equal to 0.
(checked = 1)

v1.2.1 corrected a bug in the NavCoder userinterface where you could possibly code a MkIV with "Show arrioval time" being checked.
