It is possible that BMW did not intend the splitscreen function to work with radio and CD on the 16:9 display.

I know it works with the BM24/4:3 combination which I have.
But my friend with BM24/16:9 it does not work

I don't know why.

Possibly Oceania, possibly Business RDS. Try both and see what happens :-)

Or look at the radio to see what type it is, it's written on the radio label.

no special precautions, but I would test the interface using a iBus reader like WinBus or IBusAnalyser first before you use it to transmit.

NavCoder doesn't receive any data

NavCoder remembers its settings

It doesn't remember your pre-existing car settings

For download see first post in this thread

NavCoder doesn't do anything with RDS. RDS is a function inside your radio. It stays there all the time.

Radios made for the European market always had RDS
Australian and USA market only recently
Japan never

You can use both.

WinBus requires you to be an expert at programming

NavCoder does the same thing as WinBus but allows you to do it with a simple, easy to use, plain english interface

Download and try out NavCoder on your PC. You'll see how simple it is
