Another question, I think might have been covered elsewhere but I can't find the thread.
If I wanted to put LED sidelights in the front headlamps, would disabling the blow bulb alert let me do this , I don't really want to mess about with resistors etc. I think someone might of tried it but they said it still showed the failed bulb indicator.

Hi, Jochen! I am having problems with my mkIII unit, it won't go into sleep mode after the car is turned off (posted a separate thread on this, but no replies yet). I was wondering if this problem can be fixed using the NavCoder?

NavCoder will allow you to observe the ibus adatabus activity and make further informed diagnosis.

eg: You may have another ibus device not going to sleep which is keeping the nav awake.

two questions

Hi,

i received my key for the software and am waiting on the interface from Reslers.

The only thing that I want to change is to activate the estimated time of arrival. Is it possible to selectively change only this parameter.

Is there a cable that connects the the Reslers interface to ibus? Can anyone describe what the place to connect to the ibus in the car looks like and where it is? Anyone have a picture? i have a 2002 525i station wagon.

Thank you,

Bob

Thank you,

Bob

Yes, read the coding, then change that one item, then write the coding (code the nav)

However, if that one item is wrong, then the nav will guarranteed not be coded for your car. So take a moment to enter the VIN number, and set the other parameters to match the type of vehicle you have.

The Resler interface is designed to connect to the CD changer cable
Unplug the power/ibus/ground (3-wire) plug from the CD changer, and connect to the resler interface

Note that the brown wire = ground, make sure the plug orientation is correct.

Thanks for your quick response. It sounds easy enough. Will re-read the readme.txt before firing things up.

Cheers,

Bob

I cannot understand why you ask this question in a international public forum, instead of sending an email to the NavCoder author directly.

The author of NavCoder offer excellent and rapid email support, and is the only person that can answer such question with authority, and I believe he prefers to answer these questions by email.
