Has anybody tried changing the language? There are options for the Great Britain accent, German, French, and Russian (i think that's all of them).

I saw that during the install, but didn't want to risk playing with it at the time. I'd love to give Laura (that what my kids call the nav lady) a British accent. I wonder if it can be changed without doing a re-install?

I just followed Jeff's post and everything went well. Here's a step by step starting from alcohol 120:

1. click on "image burning wizard" then click "browse" and find the folder that you extracted the two files to.

2. click on "bmw v26 software" (there's only one to choose) and click "open" it.

3. Under Image file information, it should list the two files and the total size is "288.66 MB". Click "Next"

4. If you didn't insert a high quality CD-R earlier, insert it and set the write speed at the slowest one (mine was 2x). Make sure the CD/DVD Recorder is set on the right drive.

5. Click "Start" and it should start burning. Once it reaches 100%, it'll be done and the disc will eject on its own.

This is how I did it. Hope it helps.

Well, I just updated to v26 successfully, without a glitch. Thanks to UCrewX5. Definitely a big improvement with the navigation screen.

Over 8000 hits on the thread, and almost 1100 downloads of the V26 file. Amazing response to this
