First select a destination. Then either :

- press the right rotary controler, then on the 'Instruction' menu option press and hold the controler, a red line will appear through the speaker symbol on the left.

- if you have VR, say "Instruction Off".

Angelych I am surprised by your question!!!
It is well known in our italian forum as well!!!
The trick is just deselect the speaker....that's it. So you are NOT actually switching off the instructions, but switching off the loudspeaker.

there is a little problem with this solution: if you are follow instructions to reach a place, you'll not hear neither these...

Furthermore, would you please to say me where it has been talked about this tip in our forum?

No. E93 does not have a Mk4. It has the newer generation iDrive nav. Software can only be updated via diagnostic interface.

Big HELLO from Germany!

I have used the modded OS image from ccfj1 above and installed it successfully on my Mk IV DVD Nav System, and then followed nomads instructions from point E owards for adding POIs and burning a new DVD.

All seemed to work ok, I`m seeing the POI`s in map but no sound is coming. Am I missing something obvious, or is there anything else I can check?

Many thanks.
