You will need to get the nav computer recoded then, It looks like a unit from Italy.

Navcoder will do it or dealer.

Set to UK, Fre and Ger.

Here is a modded version of the Range Rover OS (with nightmode), it has the ITA converted to English (text and voice), however this is just a stop gap to get you up and running until you can get your mk4 recoded, the TV and Phone (vr) will still be ITA as they have there own language roms.

It is for a mk4 only, do not use in a mk3.

It also has a out of range version number (so will go straight on).
MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

Follow the burn and update procedure and you should be fine, remember this is just a stop gap.

so now the car has been restored to its original configuration.

Now to properly change the languages to what you want, either visit a friendly BMW dealer or ask a forum member to use my NavCoder with your car to change the settings.

Or use NavCoder yourself - you'll need an ibus interface

If you are not able to use NavCoder yourself then tell everyone whereabouts in England you are and offer a bottle / some bottles of wine in exchange for them coding your nav / car.

If you are in the South West (near Bristol) I could probably help.

If not then I'm sure someone on the forum in the UK would.....

Hi Thanks for replies I would be willing to travel to get this problem resolved, I am living just outside Maidenhead, Berkshire so if anyone is in a reasonable distance that would be fantastic. I would be happy to pay a fee or a christmas drink (some nice bottles or wine) or you can supply a preference if stated for the person willing to help. Thank you all again for helping out and if I can get this sorted it would be really great. I await your advice again!!

Thanks & regards
Maxine
