In the car the MKIV starts up as soon as the cables go into it, but not when on adapter inside. I use a AC to DC adapter, 12v output and max 2A. Since I am not able get it to power up, it is hard for me to do anything. Our garage has been demolished because we are going to build a new one, so its not so easy to work outside from my trunk, with the winds and rain that are hurling through the coast of Norway these days... :p ( I live at hustadvika, with the atlantic road that so many car manufacturers use in their commericals these days=) I am going to use the night to find some more info on the MKIV, and try to find out what I am doing wrong. I have done something wrong, even though I have tried many combinations of ground,+12 and ign... Could the ac/dc adapter be the problem? |

There is only 1 correct combination of ground,+12 and ign. Get it right first time or don't bother at all as you may damage something.
You will know if the navi boots as it will make noise moving the laser. iBus is not needed for this part. |

What I mean is that I have put on +12 battery and ground, and then tried putting on +12 onto ignition to start it, and have power on both ign and +12 when I put in the PSU. But this doesnt work, it just wont start up.. I know how the navi sounds when it boots up, what im saying is that it doesn't power up! |
