Connect 12V permanent battery power and ground

Connect 12V ignition power via a switch, OR use NavCoder to generate ibus traffic to wake up the nav

As long as ibus traffic is present, the nav will stay powered up

The 12V on the blue connector is permanent battery power
The 12V on the purple connector is 12V ignition power
Use the case as ground
Refer to the WDS or the retrofit instructions for full pinouts and pin functions

I used a laptop 12V switch-mode supply, 1A, this was sufficient to power the nav on the bench.
Remember to use NavCoder to monitor the state of the nav as you will not have a monitor screen to see the video output.

Use the MsgTester in NavCoder and program the Fn buttons to send eg Country Coding, Time and Date commands when requested by the nav.
