Gee... and I thought what Umnitza had sent me was the worst. They didn't send the harness to me and said exactly the same thing about tapping in to the fogs.

Did anyone else complete this install?? Any tips for the AE's? :D

mine is suppose to come in today :D hopefully i can get them on thus. ( im taking it to my mechanic shop ... hes gonna put them on for me , im not good with DIY stuff ) :eeps:

Goodluck bud! The lights themselves are easy to install, so don't let him charge you too much. The tough part is the AE install, which you will not need to perform right away in order for the lights to work. In other words, if your mechanic can't do the AE install, then you can take the harness off for now and just enjoy the headlights and clear corners. If he can install the AE's, ask him to write a DIY guide :D

ok i will ask him , im gonna wait till the lights are here to make sure they made it to my house in one piece , then i'll call him 2moro to ask how much $$ he wants to install them , maybe he would be having a great day & says no charge:-) he is anice guy & he also done a ton of work on my x & my old 330i & both my brothers cars !

Your heading for this thread is: DEPO Headlights for pre-facelifters with HID.
If the heading was: DEPO Headlights for pre-facelifters without HID. Am I correct in assuming that the only extra issue I would have is the supply and install of 2 ballasts (and maybe resistors)?? :dunno: I obviously fall into the latter catagory and would dearly love to one day have the complete package of;
1/ HID's
2/ Good quality A/eyes
3/ Clear corner lense's

Note: My stock halogen h/lights come with levelling motors, however they are not auto. I can adjust them via a small dial on the dash light switch panel (mentioned in detail previously with Meister etc).

I think if you email the seller and mention what kind of set up you have, he may be able to help you. This thread is in regards to those of us who already have factory HID low beam ballasts, and the best part is our ability to use the factory HID low beam ballasts with this option. I'm really unfamiliar with what you'd have to do to incorporate what you mentioned above into your X.

I got a couple questions

Are we getting a group buy price or are we getting pricing as we e-mail him?

Is the seller installing the LED rings or is this a whole new headlight from DEPO that comes with AEs?
If this is a OEM DEPO Headlight. What is the DEPO Part number?

By the way these headlights look GREAT!
