In preparation for the big move, I've trashed all my 3rd party apps (or moved them to a USB key) and ran Tech Tool to check my system. I just finished a back up of my home folder (NOT a clone of the system), and I'll get some DVDs made for my iTunes just in case.

A lot of these reports of Leopard being faulty/bad are really nitpicking. For Mr. Average Joe, who has not many 3rd party apps and no hacks, Leopard is just fine. When you start getting complicated, it is another story.
BTW, 10.5.1 is almost complete.

I have Vista, it blows hands down...and until they get there crap squared with Nvidea...it always will ;)

I run XP as a dual boot off my MacBook Pro cause my dumb HP external drive only works in Windows (gay). Vista is a huge resource hog and while the graphics are cool, that is about it.

Bottom line, from someone who has Leopard, Tiger, Vista and XP....Vista is the worst of all 4. My partner has a brand new Toshiba running Vista from the factory and it crashes every other day. :thumbup: Too bad, because it looked good graphically...aside from taking up WAY too many resources on the disk.

BTW Vista flies! on my computer, so much faster and responsive than XP I had. As far as resource hog, I can't say for sure, but hey I have 4 GB RAM dual Core 2 DUO 2.13GHZ CPUs and 300GB HD. :)

So maybe it was better to wait a while before jumping in:nanana:
