Has anyone tried Hackintosh? It suppose to work very well. I am going to try when I have a chance.
Only gripe I have is that it used hacked Leopard floating around on BitTorrant. I would like to give it a try if I could build the DVD using my legit copy. I really like the idea $800 Hackintosh that equate to $2500 iMac. I won't be as pretty as real Mac but, I am certain it would be as reliable as the real one if I follow the guideline. Apple will never release OS that would run on Intel Hardware upfront and they make money off the hardware not the software. But they decided to build OS around Intel Platform, also openly accommodate installing Windows on their machine to increase user base, they shouldn't be too upset if it goes other way around. |

Hackintosh?
The only thing worse that an imitation is a bad imitation. Kinda like buying a Ferrari Body Kit. Your only foolin yourself.  Quote:

Hackintosh

It would be more like building a Ferarri using most of the performance related parts except for the body kits and interiors, since few Apples parts are solely manufactured by/for Apple, but the pretty packages that marketed as apple. ;) There won't be no Apple support, in case something happens as you should be aware of. No offense to Apple Advocates (or fanboys), I am merely suggesting the possibility. In hindsight as apple market share climes they will look more attractive to write spyware on. |
