Hi this is SuperGreg, software specialist, can I have your serial number? edit: I have an idea! lets make an "official Apple Computer thread" and merge this and the "MacBook" thread into it...then we have a one stop place for everything! |
I thought that what we had already done........

Okay, so I'm three weeks late to the game. I got sick of my pathetic Powerbook and am the proud new owner of a Blackbook. I got a factory install of leapord, and coming from 10.3, I am impressed. This thing is so fast, and every little gripe I had, from the iChat being really unusable with AIM, the Mail being old fashioned and lacking function to the lack of organization. I LOVE the stacks, and the new safari. I enjoy being able to connect to secure websites again .
Some little suprises, whether they be from the macbook or the Leapord: -Battery life is worse on "extend battery life" function (goes from almost 5 hours on normal setting to 2) -Photobooth (I'm a dork) the greenscreen thing- AMAZING. -Bang for the buck. This thing is head and shoulders over my old system which cost $1000 more (and is still worth as much as the new mb) -Widgets (I know, 10.4 but I'm double dipping on the upgrade) -iCal integration. Much more fluid -Reflective dock (cool) -Ability to have 200 tabs open without the computer dying (good for surfing x5world, simeontaneiously with eBay looking for a new car, ipod and selling a bunch of stuff) -This is all on one gig. I just bought a 4gb kit from crucial :D :zoom: So I'm impressed. Call me simple, but this rocks. I'm happy until the next MBP comes out. (Want to go to college with the latest gadget, who can blame me) |

I had the best luck on the airplane where everything is a different color, and it can get a good, stable image. Its also important not to move it... if you set it up and tilt your screen you will notice a weird picture. just play with it, you'll figure it out, and its nothing a trip to lowes can't solve  ;) |

gotcha...so the brownish tan-ish walls of the room I'm in aren't such a great idea. Lemme try the kitchen  |
