Nope, never had. Much as I've never had an interview in Cali either.

With a family member who has been HR for many years her advice is as some have said. Conservative dark (inexpensive) suit. Wear a tie that doesn't attract attention and no matching pocket hanky. Please please shine your shoes and get a haircut. Clean shaven is another requirement and no colognes scented shaving lotions, or scented hand lotions. To wear that suit well, dignify yourself with good posture.

Wish you the best my friend

Regards

The Position is for regional sales, telecommute position, meeting with brokers in the San Diego area

No LeftCoastXpert, Ryan...but, I'd skip the new suit, imo.
Maybe dress slacks, shirt & jacket or, slacks, tie & jacket.

A S steel Rolex?! ...I'm with you.

Hellsbells, BB: you have forgotten more about "fashion" than
most of the hard core shoppers here, know. Jes' use your
judgement and dress "snappy casual" with maybe a jacket, imo.

Talk less, be enthused, answer succinctly, sell yourself without
coming on as a knowitall, sell what you can do for their operation,
etc. You know the drill...

Good Luck to you on your interview!

OP perhaps you can go by to the office before the interview. look at what other employees there wear. this could give you an idea.
