What do you need?

ccfj1 04-30-2010 02:58 AM

I'll need the whole disc minus the DB files, zip them up and post me a link (megaupload/rapidshare).

It will only be approx 180mb zipped up.

azaremba... did you get any inputs about the error from the POISON??

azaremba 05-04-2010 08:18 PM

Not Yet.

adi320 05-04-2010 08:22 PM

that is bad... where is the creator of POISON?? :)

azaremba 05-04-2010 08:23 PM

He has another project going from what I understand. CCFJ1 can help. Once he lets me know what files from the new DVD he needs I can get them uploaded.

Sorry mate, this slipped my mind.

What's inside the TPD dir mate, if its only the 2 db files then delete them and then save the resultant image (everything else) to 2101-NA.iso and then zip it up and upload to somewhere I can get at it.

I don't need the carindb file either.

If you have the 2009 NA dvd do the same and I can then compare them like for like and hopefully spot where navtech have hidden the poison block.

PM me the link mate.

No audible warnings

I have a strange problem. I have a MKIV, English language (I would like dutch navigation instructions, but still have to pass by a dealer to change this), which I cannot get to give audible warnings.

I tried creating my own patched OS according to the instructions on the first page. However, I probably made a mistake - so my MKIV gave a programming error, and a black screen.

I managed to recover with a clean OS-disk, but I've become very nervous about reprogramming my MKIV with my own patched version. So, i downloaded several pre-patched versions and tried those. Among those was the 'CCFJ' version; but, as several persons already reported, this version does not work with TMC enabled. Probably has to do with the extraordinary amount of traffic jams in the Netherlands, the list of messages is always very long, resulting in frequent reboots. So, frustrated with that, I gave up - I did not even create a patched map disk.

However, this week I gave it another try. I downloaded a pre-patched V32 version which until now does not reboot, even with TMC enabled - so I was happy! This version has, according to several persons who've tried it, dutch warnings and night colors (which I do nog like), and is reported to work even with a english sound setting.

Yesterday, I created my first map-disk (v2010-1). I've removed all non-english languages to fit the map on a single-layer disk, and the disk works fine. I can see the camera's on the screen (icons) - but I do not hear any warnings.

So, I suspect the claim that this OS-version works with a English language setting is incorrect, and that the only reason that I do not hear any warnings is that the MKIV tries to play a non-existent Dutch soundfile. Could this indeed be the case?

Correct, I too have seen this problem (not personally, but it has bee reported to me), I have created a another modded version that does not force a reboot with TMC bursts.

This modded version works 100% of the time and no one that has used it gets the TMC reboot problem any more.

The TMC reboot problem only happens on approx 5-10% of all mk4 btw.

OK, I made up a Dutch version a while back (language and txt), not sure if its the same one though, where did you get it?

You have not patched the 2010-1 disc so that poison works, navteq have modified the disc so that the POISson patch fails.

I will pm you a link to a patch for the 2010-1 disc and then it will start to work.

Possible, have you looked into the .csf file and heard the sound in options 8 and 9 (using navspeack)??
