You would need to save the rom_col3 (oem) colour module, redo the crc and the replace the rom_col2. This will only work in split (day) mode.

This should not have been effected as the nightmode only changes the colour schemes not the coding of the unit.

Maybe it need to to "see" the "Aux. heating/vent" before it will display in the menu.

"redo the crc"?

Download this, MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service.

Save the rom_col3 out of a OEM navboot,
then rename it to rom_col1,
then open it with a hex editor, and edit the rom_col3 value to rom_col1.
run crc24.exe and the crc will fail, but will give you a number.
then edit the last digits the the open hex file (now edited rom_col1), and change them to the ones from the crc24.exe.
then save the now modded rom_col1.

re-run the crc24.exe against rm_col1 and it should now say OK.

Then open you new navboot, the replace rom_col1 with the new (brown) rom_col1.

Job done

I don't know, I don't have the aux heating, its an i-bus device so it should just appear on screen.

I went ahead and followed the instructions from the first post. Update was successful, but I do not have the day/night option on my car. I drove around for 10 mins then let the ibus fall asleep then start the car back up and nothing changed. I went ahead and did the update again. The nav said that it already had the software version and it ejected the CD. Whats going on with my nav? btw is an mk4

If the update has taken, then you need to change it manually, its not auto setting, so go to the setting menu and select nightmode via the old colour scheme menu.

There's no way to select night mode. I changed the colour scheme and everything

Sounds like there may be something wrong with the image then. (have you tried it on wide and split screen).

I'll post a new one up for download on Monday.
