NHL Hockey Chit Chat

The Vancouver Canucks fire Marc Crawford - perhaps they will go after Pat Quinn, the former veteran coach of Toronto who was fired last week?

DAMN!!! That's the first I heard of this. (xoutpost.com: Your Breaking News Leader!)

It was a popular rumour that Crawford was getting the axe. At 7 years he's pretty much reached his shelf life as a coach. Funny, I think Pat Quinn had been in TO for 7 years. So which coaches are available? Pat Quinn, Marc Crawford, Andy Murray, who else?

Thanks for starting this thread too.

I believe that is it fo now, but I am sure the list will grow in the near future. I see Edmonton is giving Detroit a tough time; now that would be a huge upset if the wings tank in the first round!

Looks like the Oiler and Habs are on their way to upsets. Could be interesting.

I'm glad Calgary finally played a good game last night. I can't believe the number of penalties being called. At least IMO the calls were mostly consistent.

The most exciting period in sports (IMHO) is the NHL playoffs. Currently lovin' the Sharks and their play. Good match ups all around though.

Easy Man, there is a lot of hockey left to be played. Proof will be game four.

Wasn't Pattie Q. ever associated with the Canuck's franchise in the past?

I said they were on their way. I didn't say they'd get there. It's not over until the phat lady sings.

names already being rumoured [ for replacement] are Manitoba Moose head coach and former Montreal Canadiens coach Alain Vigneault and former Canucks and Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Pat Quinn.

Detroit Red Wings scout David Lewis and Paul Maurice, head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs' AHL affiliate, are also candidates.

The Sharks are looking good! I just scored some tickets to tomorrow nights game

The Shark Tank during playoffs is the loudest sporting venue I have ever been.
