Seriously everyone, this is not about religion, it's about some crazy and deranged people using the religion as a reason for their madness, that's it.

from experience getting on El Al is the most challenging task, they almost interrogate you before you even get to the counter, the line waits for ever but guess what it moves reaaal quick because they have almost as many reps interrogating you as they have behind the counter, they dont hold back, money is no issue vs peoples lives. Unfortunately the general public here in the States makes it a money issue, cut this cut that and next thing you know you have an arab on a plane with a box cutter. I was coming back FROM Israel and one of my friend was a bit drunk, they strip searched him took any and all carryon luggage from him and barely let him have his inflatable pillow. Its normal and guess what they havent had a single incident since that unfortunate one since they were hijacked. Doesnt matter if you are Israeli, speak Hebrew, Yiddish, or any other language, doesnt matter if you are ultra religious or reformed you get the same scruitiny and people know that its for their own safety. Here we have the dumb ass rights activits and liberals and this and that and people are spoiled because you can sue for someone breathing the air at the wrong pace, I'm not complaining about that but its not the peoples fault its the govt, and granted its one of the best if not the best country in the world and I wouldnt want to go back to where I was born because I had to put up with anti-semites but stop it with the civil rights, those rights are taken away when you are dead so why not stay alive without them ? and at least live?

absolutely but guess what? they target a limited group NOT THE ENTIRE POPULATION, NOT THE ENTIRE COUNTRY, NOT THE ENTIRE CIVILIAN RACE. and guess what WE HAVE PEOPLE TO BLOW THEIR COVER TO KICK THEIR ASS FOR DOING IT what the fuck are the muslims doing to stop it? sure as hell nothing done here in NYC only thing they do is protest against Israel and against US and they are here IN THE US why dont you talk to them and then tell me its just SOME crazy people, as far as i'm concerned they are most if not all, fcuked up in the head, how about back to my point earlier with the ones from Florida they had families they were the usual neighbor next door and then they take flight lessons but dont care about how to land

Edit: This thread brings to mind a family of Persian rug importers in Vero Beach, Florida. (Falasiri Rugs). The nicest, professional, pro-American folks you could know, but again, these guys look no different than than any number of jihadi mugshots--the Falasiris obey our laws, love the USA, and deserve not to be blown up on an airliner. I wonder how they would feel if all Arabic males were singled out for scrutiny? They might agree with the practice, as long as it was thorough and consistent.

I'm with Accella on this. If white females were the threat of the day, I would graciously deal with the hassle of being profiled for the greater good. I know I'll get flamed for this but come on people. If it were for my safety and the safety of others, I have no problem with it.

I know this is not a prefect analogy but if they suspect liquid explosives in gatorade bottles, should we not screen gatorade bottles because the majority of people who carry gatorade are not terrorists. NO...We will screen gatorade bottles and other bottles that look suspicious. Same with profiling. We should target those that fit the threat stereotype while at the same time, scrutinizing others they may seem shady.

I know gatorade bottles don't have rights to be violated but you get the idea.

This pretty much hits the nail on the head. Well said. Over and out.

Just remember, El Al only has 34 planes. The US carriers handle more passengers in 2 days than El Al does in an entire year. They have a much smaller operation to be able to scrutinize that thoroughly.

I agree and I have nothing against racial profiling, but doing so we should not overlook other areas and give the terrorists a way to sneak in.

its just really pissed me off when after 9/11 the stupid rights activists started saying how do you know its muslims etc... get the fcuk outa here who else would jump on a plane and fly it into a building, now they are bitching about phone conversations being monitored. i dont care if you listen to them, as a matter of fact you can all rest assured that the NSA is monitoring this whole thread, dont worry if anyone is watching we are all law abiding citizens here, we have everyone from different race here but we are all friends nothing to see here move on.

back to my rant... if they want to listen and read thats fine, they dont publish it online, they have security clearance and i hope they have more brains than to damage their careers by doing anything stupid so monitor away. if you hear me and i dont know you and you want to hear my sex talk go ahead get off on it for all i care. If thats what it takes to weed out killers and keep me alive and keep all of us alive then do it, because they will squeel just like the guy next to them if they are on a flight which jihad has taken over

i agree but you have to admit people flying to and from are a lot more patient. We cant even sit in traffic because they inspect cars, and sure traffic sucks and gas is expensive because the arabs have a hold on us but if it saves a life i'm fine with it. here everything is about profit and money and this and that, cigarettes kill yet they are defended, guns kill yet those are defended too, yet long lines nooo those are bad for business but dead people are good because who else will pay for morgues and cemeteries and funeral homes. this is more a rant than a rebuttle to you doc, i agree with you but my main point was that people are a lot more patient through the process and everyone is profiled regardless.
