I like to keep my cars for a long time... I'm 31 now and am only on my 2nd car...

At 17 I worked 7 days a week:
1995 Isuzu Rodeo

At 30 my wife popped out twins and I needed a safer vehicle, airbags would help:

In order of purchase since 1986:

1979 Fiat 126 (Should I admit to that?)
1974 Triumph Toledo (Was still at school)
1986 Auston Maestro 1.6L (or this?)
1987 Vauxhal Cavalier 1.6GL (or this?)
1979 Mini 1275GT (Great fun)
1970 Mini Clubman (Just as much fun despite less power and bought for US$60)
1987 MG Maestro 2.0i (Better than you think it would be)
1978 MG Midget (Should have kept this at the time)
1967 MGB Roadster (and not bought this)
1993 Rover 218 SLD (Started long commute)
1986 MG Metro Turbo (Turbo bearings whined, always thought the Police were behind me when going up through the gears)
--- Arrived in the Middle East---
1987 Suzuki Jeep SJ413 (Needed cheap wheels)
1980 Range Rover (Ex Bahraini Police, shook like crazy at speed)
1991 Land Rover Discovery (Got a reliable one somehow, bought it in Dubai and drove it back to Bahrain)
1991 Toyota Celica (Great car)
1990 BMW 318i (Very unreliable, kept in England)
1990 Suzuki Vitara (No comment)
1997 Toyota LandCruiser Prado VX 3.4 litre manual (loved that car, took it back to England but could not afford to run it)
1986 Nissan Patrol Safari (Desert Bruiser)
1983 Audi UR Quattro (Fun in the sun)
1979 MGB Roadster (Kept in England, California import, de-smogged and tuned. Sold when I moved to the US)
---Back to England---
1998 Rover 420 SLDi (Needed a cheap commuter car)
2001 Toyota Avensis D4D (120 mph and 40+mpg, but not at the same time)
1993 Mini Cooper (Kept this in UK when I moved to the States, but deteriorated rapidly, so replaced it with my first RAV4)
1991 Rover Metro 1.4LD (Sold the Avensis and needed something cheap whilst waiting for my US Visa, gave it away and I still think the new owner got a bad deal...)
---Arrived in the States---
2004 Subaru Impreza WRX (Great fun, poor bodywork and dealer)
1987 Ford F150 (Something broke every time I drove it, bought it in Greely 1100miles away for $300)
2002 Nissan Frontier Pick Up (Reliable and um...)
1973 Triumph TR6 (Will drive it one day)
1995 RAV4 2 Door (back home in England)
2005 RAV4 (Bought in Santa Fe 1000 miles away - wanted a manual)
1999 Isuzu Amigo (Now Amigone)
1997 RAV4 (Ebay buy, quite local, in Dallas 240 miles away)
2007 FJ Cruiser, 4x4 6 Speed (Loved it, but not the mpg.)
1994 Mazda Miata (Fun, shame I sold it)
1986 Mercedes 190E (Ebay buy, drove it home from Maryland and donated it)
1986 Honda Prelude (2008 BABE car, then a LeMons racer)
1996 Isuzu Trooper (Stop gap solution, came from Maryland again)
1996 Ford Contour (2009 BABE car, became a British Police car)
2003 BMW X5 (Love it!)
