Mine opens and asks me if I want to open with itunes which is the default.

I just ordered a 24'' Imac, I know it has a DVD burner but I want to make "backup" copies of my dvd collection, do you need a program for this? I read somewhere about Mactheripper doe's anyone use or have this?
