Actually ML's decision was all about revenue. If you can prove a business case AND show a profit, your group is fine. You show a loss - buh-bye. And yes, the new regs blow - IMHO.

Best of luck finding something better. There are lots of opportunities out there. I was leery of starting my own business and there were naysayers but I'm glad I did it. Three years in now. Working for yourself (and your customers) is satisfying in ways that working for someone else can never be.
