The new Toyota Tundras are nice trucks, to be sure. If you were raised on the little Toy trucks, the big Toy is probably going to be all you need.
(I've noticed a regular pattern, however, of the new Tundra finishing behind the new GMT900 trucks in comparison tests. Interesting, to say the least.) That said, I'll stick with my Ford F250. Even though I bought it for duty on the farm, with diesel fuel currently costing $0.40/gal less than gas, I've been taking it out as a daily driver a lot more lately. It's a big lug (crew cab shortbed), but I enjoy driving it and I love the bigass PowerStroke torque it makes. It just bears down and flat goes, loaded, towing or empty. And with the King Ranch package, the interior is nicely finished on all surfaces with soft ball-glove style leather...it's simply beautiful inside. The KR package is top-notch. However, the bottom line is that the truck is built tough from the inside out, regardless of how it's outfitted, and that's why we love it. It's no X5, but honestly, that's why I bought it.

Here's an interesting article that potential '07 Toyota Tundra buyers might want to read before they buy:
"Toyota Tundra may be recalled Engine trouble on new Texas-made pickup could hurt quality reputation. Christine Tierney / The Detroit News Toyota Motor Corp. faces a costly setback in the biggest U.S. vehicle launch in its history after owners of its new Tundra pickup reported engine failures. The Japanese automaker may recall Tundras equipped with 5.7-liter V-8s to replace the engines, a company spokesman said Wednesday. The trouble with the Tundra's 5.7-liter engines, the most powerful engine available on the new pickup, is the latest in a series of recalls and problems that have dented Toyota's reputation."

That's the first shortbed dually I've ever seen. Are the twin exhaust pipes oem? How's the new 6.4 compared to the old 6.0? I love my F350. Just got back from a trip to Yosemite and it drove great. I want to move up to the new engine too. Enjoy your new baby!

I had to fight and fight with my bro to get the short bed over the long bed. But considering it gets parked in front of my house most of the time, I won the fight.. And damn glad I did... Shortbed Dually's ROCK !! I can't compare the 6.4 to the 6.0 because I never owned the 6.0. But when we test drove both, one thing that was very apparent, the 6.4 was much more quiet. While it still has that beautiful diesel rumble, at idle, it isn't as loud. Which I'm glad about. The twin pipes are OEM.. We have not started to mod the 350 yet, so everything on it is Ford. We are going to rip out the radio and do a aftermarket NAV, Backup Cam, Sirius, etc. Maybe a push bar with some additional lights and a few other little gadgets. Let me know if there is any other info you might like, I'm happy to share. B
